Generally speaking you can run 32 Bit Programs on a 64 Bit Machine But not the other way around. The 64 Bit code and instruction set uses bigger registries making it capable of handling numbers much larger than what the 32 Bit processors can handle. Not only that, 64 Bit programs have instructions that will not run on a 32 Bit Processor.
